VISWANATH ALLURI ( VISH)
aving trained as a chartered Accountant and worked a Company Secretary, Vish became a Tech Company Founder. He was the Founder and CEO of IMImobile.
He began his entrepreneurial journey with a vision of harnessing India’s intellectual resources to develop Intellectual properties from India for world markets. He founded IMISoft in 1988, to develop Engineering Products . IMI Soft developed best-in-class engineering products for design of Transmission line towers and Telecom towers. Having licensed its product to global companies like ABB, Hyundai besides leading Indian players, IMI Soft emerged as an Engineering company of high values and trusted for its integrity, besides its best-in- class products. In 2008 it was acquired by an Engineering Conglomerate from Denmark which was also known for its high values of life.
He founded IMImobile in 1999, with a vision of developing a mobile data Infrastructure out of India for global markets. This was founded with a vision that mobile data would be the future of technology development globally..Over the next one and a half decades, Vish helped grow IMImobile into a global CPaaS ( Communication Platform as a Service ) leader, with operations across continents ( over 70 countries ) . IMI mobile had equity investors from India, UK and USA. IMI mobile’s technology and international growth eventually led to a successful acquisition by Cisco in 2021. Acquisition of IMImobile by CISCO ( $ 730 millions) is a validation at two levels. Firstly it validates its cutting edge Technology and secondly passing through the Due Diligence process of a seasoned acquirer like CISCO is a validation of a robust management process,
His journey of Tech entrepreneurship was inward as much as outward as he was deeply impacted by the teachings – about life as a whole – of J Krishnamurti. . The teachings had a profound impact on Vish—challenging, questioning, and ultimately reshaping how he saw the world and life in it. He has been involved in doing work of various kinds for the Foundations of J Krishnamurti worldwide since 2000, alongside his work in the company.
Finally in 2014 after the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange he stepped away from his responsibilities as CEO of a tech company to dedicate himself fully to the work of the Krishnamurti Foundations – disseminating his teachings, education of children and rural welfare in India.
Assisting the foundation’s work to preserve and disseminate the teachings of J. Krishnamurti, responsibility of Schools in India for education of children, rural outreach work.
With his tech background and experience in world markets, he is working on digital outreach to make Krishnamurti’s work more accessible globally.

s a poet, author, essayist, journalist and arts writer as well as one of the most eloquent advocates of the worldwide Slow movement. He contributes to many leading newspapers and magazines; his regular Financial Times column ‘Slow Lane’ proposed a pause for thoughtful enjoyment of the pleasures and values which make life worth living. He was introduced to the teachings of J Krishnamurti by a potter friend in the 1990s; this turned out to the beginning of a lifelong engagement on many levels, personal, educational, ecological.
His first volume of poetry was published in 2001, and he is also the author of Wine Dynasties of Europe, The Bluffer’s Guide to Wine, Plato’s The Republic:A Beginner’s Guide, Seeing Our Planet Whole: A Cultural and Ethical View of Earth Observation and Johnson’s Brexit Dictionary. His memoir Horace and Me: Life Lessons from an Ancient Poet was short-listed for the PEN/Ackerley Prize in 2014. He was Visiting Senior Fellow at the European Space Policy Institute in Vienna from 2013-2016. He is a regular interviewee on BBC radio and has appeared on the Today programme and Moral Maze among others. He lives in London, and enjoys playing tennis and the piano.
